About Giovanni Asproni

Biography

Asprotunity is my consulting company, founded in 2005. Through it I help software teams and organisations improve their engineering practices, architecture, and delivery.

I have over thirty years of professional experience in a wide variety of roles — developer, architect, consultant and advisor to upper management, CTO — across several industries and organisations of many different sizes.

I am an expert in software project management, Agile software development, Large-scale Agile development, and modern software engineering practices, as well as coding in several programming languages and paradigms.

I am a member of the ACM and the IEEE Computer Society.

I am a frequent speaker at international software engineering conferences, and a member of the team of hosts for the Software Engineering Radio Podcast.

I contributed two chapters to 97 Things Every Programmer Should Know, published by O'Reilly — also available as a free version on GitHub.
