How Asprotunity Ltd collects, uses, and protects your personal data.
Who we are
Asprotunity Ltd is a software engineering consultancy registered in England and Wales (company no. 05350979). We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. You can contact us via our contact page.
What data we collect
We collect personal data only when you actively provide it:
- Contact form — your name, email address, company name (optional), and the message you submit.
- Meeting booking — name, email address, and any information you provide when booking a call through our scheduling service (TidyCal).
- Email correspondence — any data contained in emails you send us directly.
We do not collect any data automatically beyond what is described in the sections below.
How we use your data
We use the information you provide solely to:
- Respond to your enquiry or question.
- Arrange and conduct a booked consultation call.
- Follow up on a potential or ongoing engagement.
We do not use your data for marketing, profiling, or any automated decision-making.
Legal basis
We process your data on the basis of legitimate interests (responding to a business enquiry you have initiated) and, where a contract is formed, on the basis of contractual necessity. We will ask for your explicit consent before any other use.
Who we share data with
We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties for their own purposes. Data may be processed by the following service providers acting on our behalf:
- IONOS — web hosting and email delivery for this website. IONOS automatically records server access logs for each page request, which include the visitor's IP address, the page requested, date and time, browser type, and referring page. These logs are used only for security and operational purposes and are retained according to IONOS's own policy.
- TidyCal — meeting scheduling. Their privacy policy governs data you submit through their booking interface.
- Google reCAPTCHA — spam protection on the contact form. reCAPTCHA collects hardware and software information (device and application data) and sends it to Google for analysis. This data is subject to Google's privacy policy and Terms of Service.
How long we keep your data
We retain enquiry and correspondence data for up to three years from the date of last contact, or for as long as necessary to fulfil any ongoing engagement. You may request deletion at any time (see your rights below).
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate data.
- Request erasure of your data.
- Object to or restrict processing.
- Lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

Cookies
This website uses Google Analytics (GA4) to understand how visitors find and use the site. Google Analytics sets two cookies:
- _ga — distinguishes unique visitors. Expires after 2 years.
- _ga_XXXXXXXXXX — maintains session state. Expires after 2 years.
These cookies are set by Google and are subject to Google's privacy policy. The data collected (pages visited, time on site, approximate location, browser type) is used only to improve this website and is not shared with third parties for their own purposes.
If you book a meeting through TidyCal, their platform may set additional cookies governed by their own policy.
You can opt out of Google Analytics across all websites by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
The contact form is protected by Google reCAPTCHA, which may set its own cookies. These are subject to Google's privacy policy and terms linked above.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the date below. Continued use of the site after any change constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
